On this episode of Sailing on a Whim, there is a first time for everything and we certainly experience a lot of firsts! We sail from Florida to the Bahamas on our FIRST EVER ocean crossing and check into the Bahamas to start exploring! We also meet some amazing people that help us out and we are reminded that we have no idea what we are doing… One thing we know for sure? It is better in the Bahamas! This crazy adventure started in early 2018 as we started researching learning how to sail, buy a boat, outfit her, and take off for a life on the open seas. There has been a huge learning curve trying to make all of this happen and we want to share with you everything that we have learned and have some fun along the way.
We are excited (and a little nervous!) to share this journey with you. We hope that you learn a little from our experiences and maybe inspire you to make changes to live the life you want!
