Even after two years and one surgery, this 3-year-old’s liver is failing. Support his treatment

“Please help me arrange funds for my son’s liver transplant,” he says. “My child… my baby will die,” he bursts into tears. After a few minutes, he wipes off his tears and walks towards his son’s bed. He stands on the door and watches his wife, Amita, singing lullabies to their little one.

“Everything changed just two days after his birth. He got jaundice. We got him medicines and his health improved a bit. But one day, he started crying and we couldn’t understand why. He cried for a whole hour and even refused to drink milk,” Amita recalls.

The distressed parents rushed him to the hospital where after a series of tests, their baby was diagnosed with biliary atresia, a rare disease of the liver and bile ducts. Since then, the little one’s life has become an uphill battle.
