British Columbia's provincial health officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry, announced seven new cases of the novel coronavirus on Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 46. Among the new cases is the first reported on Vancouver Island, which Henry said is one of three cases linked to travel to Egypt.
Henry said health officials have also identified two new cases of community transmission through B.C.'s influenza surveillance testing.
