How many times have you been trying to watch what you are eating to drop some weight, you think you are doing really well, then you step on the scale and BAM, you weigh the same or even worse you weigh more than what you weighed before. You’re just like what the heck?!? This then sends you into a “Screw this, I might as well eat what I want and just be happy” binge.

This is when having a scale that measures more than just your weight, is critical and why it may be one of the best investments you can make for the sake of your continued healthy lifestyle. I mean dieting is hard, and getting discouraged can be the quickest way to detail your weightloss goals.

The scale that I currently use is the Inevifit Eros.

The nice thing about this scale is it sends a small, undetectable electrical current up the soles of your feet and based on the time it takes that small current to return, it is able to give you estimates on all kinds of incredible data.

This data includes:
Your Weight
Your BMI (or Body Mass Index)
Your Body Fat Percentage
Your Free-Fat Body Weight (what you would weigh if you had no fat on your body)
Your Subcutaneous Fat (the fat stored in your skin)
Your Visceral Fat (the fat stored around your organs)
Your Water Weight
Your Skeletal Muscle
Your Muscle Mass
Your Bone Mass
The Amount of Protein in your body
Your Basal Metabolic Rate (How many calories your body will burn each day regardless of your activity level)
And Your Metabolic Age

So now when you see your weight has gone up, you can see, okay my water weight is up from before, no big deal.

Obviously these aren’t as precises as x-ray absorptiometry or hydro static weighing, but it gives you a pretty good idea of where you are, and when used consistently, gives you the ability to track the changes occurring in your body. This in turn really helps you from getting discouraged with the fluctuations you see in your weight and helps you to stay on track.

As an avid FitBit user, one thing I really like about the Eros scale is it sends the data directly to my FitBit app, so tracking my weight is super convenient.

On the Eros scale itself, it only displays your weight on screen, all of the data points are sent to your smartphone or tablet device thru the Eros Scale app via Bluetooth. You just open the app, stand on the scale, and it sends all the data right to your device.

Also the Eros Scale allows an unlimited number of users. Anyone can download the app, create an account and and use the scale to find out where their body is at.

If you prefer a scale that doesn’t require a device, you can go with a device like the Inevifit Body Analyzer. This was the scale I used up until recently before I upgraded to the Eros model.

The Body Analyzer displays all of the data on the screen, allows for up to 10 users, and though it doesn’t have as many data points as the Eros, it still offers a lot.

It tracks:
Weight
Water %
Body Fat Percentage
Muscle Mass
Bone Mass
And Basal Metabolic Rate

Surprisingly though, these scales do not cost nearly as much as you might think.

At the time of this video, the Body Analyzer goes for around $39 dollars and the more advanced Eros is just under $50.
