A lot of people consider the abs to be just the common ‘sixpack’ but there is a lot more going on there that you’ll want to pay attention to. The lower abs are an absolute must when it comes to developing an aesthetic physique. If your goal is to attain the V tapered look, and a tight midsection you will want to be targeting the area.
The hanging leg raise is one of my all time favourites for developing the six pack and focusing in on the lower abs. When done right, it can be the perfect exercise to build up the mid section that you desire. There’s only one issue... it’s not all that easy to perform. It will most commonly come down to your strength, so ultimately you’re going to need to reminisce back to the days of infancy and start down on the floor. Then quite literally build yourself up!
Always keen on mind that a few perfectly executed reps will provide you more benefit than a bunch of poorly executed ones. If you don’t focus on controlling the movement to some degree, you’ll be wasting valuable time and energy. Develop a patient aspect to training, you don’t always need to lift the heaviest or with the most intensity.
