Nearly 700 Chinese nationals arrested in Malaysia over online fraud operation

Malaysian authorities have arrested nearly 700 Chinese nationals suspected of an extensive online fraud operation. They are accused of cheating people in their homeland. The Immigration Department said all the transactions were done through WeChat Pay or banks in China, with operators sending a code to customers of a website.
