Sunshine Coast fire storm still burning out of control as police investigate cause | ABC News A bushfire that destroyed one home and damaged several others at Peregian Beach on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland overnight continues to burn out of control, and there are concerns fires in the Gold Coast hinterland could flare again later this week.

Police have spoken to four teenagers aged 14 and 15 after messages claiming responsibility for the Peregian blaze surfaced on social media.

Meanwhile, late on Tuesday firefighters made their way up to the Binna Burra Lodge resort site in the Gold Coast hinterland, which was gutted by fire at the weekend.
