Nepal Pollution Control and Environment Management Centre (NEPCEMAC) was established in 1997 by a group of enthusiastic young people dedicated to bring affirmative changes in the environment of the major cities through coordination with government, NGOs, INGOs and stakeholders. NEPCEMAC is a non-profit and independent non-governmental organization that has been working in the field of Solid Waste Management (SWM) with local communities since its inception. Also, it has initiated activities to work in the areas of health and education since 2007. It has been providing health services through the NEPCEMAC Community Health Centre in a very economical way as well.
Door to door waste collection, Awareness and training on solid waste management and composting, compost production, Waste segregation, paper recycling, greenery development, public places clean up campaign are/were the main activities of NEPCEMAC.
NEPCEMAC is supporting Nepsemyak for the betterment of solid waste management.
