Introducing the Drugs and Development Hub

Introducing the Drugs and Development Hub Recent developments in global drug policy have demonstrated a need to shift the debate and consider the issue from a sustainable development perspective.

The Drugs and Development Hub intends to do just this. An initiative of LSE’s International Drug Policy Unit (IDPU), the GIZ Global Partnership on Drugs Policies and Development (GPDPD) and the Global Initiative on Transnational Organized Crime (GITOC), the Drugs and Development Hub will bring together actors from various fields to help shape new approaches to drugs and development.

In January 2020 we launched the Hub at an event in Colombia hosted by our international partners the Centre for the Study of Security and Drugs (CESED) at the Universidad de Los Andes in Bogota.
