Factors that caused SA into economic recession - Michael Manamela

The South African economy is in even more trouble than earlier thought. The economy entered a recession in the fourth quarter of last year, contracting by 1,4 percent, even deeper than the 0,8 decline in the third quarter. The local economy managed growth of only 0,8 percent for the whole of 2019. We're joined by Michael Manamela, Chief Director of National Accounts at Stats SA, in our Pretoria studio.
