COVID-19 cases surge in Italy biggest increases yet

The World Health Organization says the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 worldwide has surpassed 100-thousand as of Saturday.
In Europe, Italy has seen its largest daily increase so far.
Italy's civil protection agency said Saturday that 1,247 new cases were confirmed in the previous 24 hours, bringing the total to at least 5-thousand-8-hundred 83.
Another 36 people there have died from the disease, putting the death toll in Italy at more than 2-hundred.
Meanwhile in the US, the number of confirmed cases has risen to more than 4-hundred.
At least 19 people have died from the disease.
There are cases all over the country now, including Washington, DC, where the first one was confirmed on Saturday.
