Coronavirus 'will get worse before it gets better' says Boris Johnson

Boris Johnson has said the coronavirus is “a problem” that is “likely to become more significant” in the UK, but that people should continue to go about their “business as usual” for the moment.

The Prime Minister added: “We'll be making every possible preparation for that and this country is very, very well prepared.”

This morning Mr Johnson chaired an emergency Cobra committee, and Downing Street has said that a UK-wide action plan to tackle Covid-19 had been agreed and will be published tomorrow.
