The #LizzieMcGuire reboot of our dreams is apparently in trouble and fans are desperate for answers!

Ok so, the first red flag came when the original series creator Terri Minsky was FIRED in early January after two new episodes of the show had been filmed.
Since then the show HAS not resumed production, BUT Hillary has been busy getting married and going on her honeymoon so the break initially didn’t seem like a HUGE deal.
It was recently announced that the Love Simon sequel series #Disney+ had announced was being MOVED to Hulu because it was not family friendly enough.
This obviously was a disappointment fans without Hulu, BUT what’s interesting is that Hillary SHARED that headline on her insta stories with the caption:
“Sounds familiar”
Which of course led us all to wonder if a similar issue was causing the hold up with Lizzie.
Sources revealed to Variety that Terri and Hillary wanted an ADULT version of Lizzie, and Disney Plus now wants something more like the original show, AFTER agreeing to the original pitch.
In an interview with Variety, Terri explained she hoped the two episodes she helped create would have a chance to be seen. She said QUOTE:
"I am so proud of the two episodes we did. Hilary has a grasp of Lizzie McGuire at 30 that needs to be seen. It's a wonderful thing to watch. I would love the show to exist, but ideally I would love it if it could be given that treatment of going to Hulu and doing the show that we were doing. That's the part where I am completely in the dark. It's important to me that this show was important to people. I felt like I wanted to do a show that was worthy of that kind of devotion."
