For example, I’ve been moving into my new condo and so the past few days have been hectic. I’ve been spending a lot of my time going back and forth between my old condo and my new one and there’s still a lot left to move.
Now, I would love to take this week off and take my time moving in. But leaders don’t take time off unless it’s absolutely necessary. I took some days off during the move but now I’m back. You have to be consistent.
Leaders just don’t step away for long periods of time. Sure, you can dial things down when you need to. Sometimes that’s what’s necessary. But being a leader means showing up in some way no matter what kind of internal rollercoaster is going on.
People often make excuses or let themselves off the hook too easily. This is what separates successful network marketers from the rest. Those who are successful know how to stay connected with their prospects even during times of stress.
What would happen if you just take two weeks off? A month? What would happen to those prospects who have just started to follow you?
In order to expand your reach and foster your connections, you have got to be consistent. Being a leader is not easy. You’re not always going to want to write copy or make videos. But if you want to be a successful network marketer, you’re going to need to show up. Every single day.
