Hundreds of community members gathered outside the Goodwood Magistrate’s court ahead of the appearance of Mohhdian Pangarker, the man accused of murdering 8 year old Tazne Van Wyk. A brief scuffle developed outside the court when community members ripped off a section the court’s palisade fencing. Public order police fended off the crowd and Voortrekker Road was closed to traffic.
Pangarker appeared briefly in court and the matter was postponed to 17 April.
