planarTECH looking to raise upwards of £500k to meet 'great deal of demand' for its graphene systems

planarTECH looking to raise upwards of £500k to meet 'great deal of demand' for its graphene systems planarTECH chairman Ray Gibbs speaks to Proactive London's Andrew Scott ahead of a crowdfunding campaign on Seedrs to raise around £500k as it looks to expand its current business and meet the demand it's experiencing for its graphene systems.

The company was formed in 2014 and makes the system that generates sheets of graphene - single layer sheets of graphene.

''The business is based in Cambridge, it's got an outfit in America and we want to expand into Asia which is where a big part of the marketplace is coming''.

'Our reputation is fantastic, The Cambridge Graphene Centre have bought three of these systems over the past three or four years ...so from that perspective it's all good news''.

''The business has had a round £1mln worth of sales every year ... we have an order book to date of around £300k and visibility on many other things going forward''.
