Oblique - Form [electrocaïne] 2020

Oblique is a Berlin-based artist framing genre-bending and pulsating soundscapes together with a non- conformist attitude. Drawing influences from his wide cultural background, each release communicates a different take on electronic music. While Oblique’s Argandiwal (وال ارغنده) release on Mauritius based label electrocaïne in April 2018 touched upon the exploration of a lost heritage through intense and multi-layered soundscapes, his ‘Sun EP’ comes with a more technically focused probe into how some of the previously discovered and now signature elements could be further embodied in the dance format. With the four tracks crossing established genres, Oblique takes elements of house, techno and breakbeat to create his own vision awashed in the bright rays of luminosity that shone through his first record.
