SEER is the abbreviated term for "Surveillance, Epidemiology and End Results Database". It is the National Cancer Institute's (NCI) population-based cancer registry for the United States (US) comprising 18 US-based cancer registries that form up data from about 28% of the total US population.
If you would like to be a researcher and have publications in whatever field that you desire, but lack the necessary supervision and have zero experience, don't worry. This video is the starting point to a series of seer*stat tutorials that will cover seer cancer statistics, seer data types, seer database analysis, seer data dictionary, and all what you need to know how to use the seer database.
