ABOUT THIS GAME
Fight your way out of a planet prison in this 2D roguelite hand-drawn platformer!
You've been captured and sent to entertain aliens as a gladiator in a faraway planet called Tartarus. You will have to advance through randomly generated biomes with deadly traps and monsters blocking your path. Choose your opponents in the arenas, beat them for items and coins and you might be able to earn your freedom!
Tight and fluid controls that allow you to dodge and fight enemies without taking hits - the only ceiling is your own skillset!
Hundreds of hand-crafted rooms that are randomly picked to make every new run feel unique.
Dozens of enemies and 7 bosses to beat with different movesets and attack patterns.
150+ items including pets, weapons and trinkets that unlock new abilities for your characters. Pop your heart out to heal yourself or fire a laser gun.
6 unique characters that fit different playstyles, including a potato and an alien worm in underpants.
Customize your runs by choosing harder paths if you're feeling confident or easier ones if you're on the brink of death. High risk, high reward.
WHAT THE DEVELOPERS HAVE TO SAY:
Why Early Access?
“I published an early build in the beginning of 2019 and the players feedback has been incredibly helpful to improve the game. I want to spend my time building what people actually want and I think Early Access is the best way to do it.”
Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
“Probably between 3 to 6 months depending on how much the game will need to be tweaked.”
How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
“Throughout Early Access, I will publish updates that add new content, fix bugs and polish the game experience - which means removing frustrating parts, balancing the difficulty levels etc. Depending on players suggestions and feedback, new content might include additional characters, items, weapons, rooms, enemies and many more.”
What is the current state of the Early Access version?
“The game is fully playable on Windows but might present some bugs. As far as content goes, there are currently 3 biomes, 6 characters, 20+ enemies, 7 bosses and hundreds of items.”
Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
“The current plan is to keep the price unchanged, although I'm considering increasing it if the Early Access ends up featuring substantial content updates.”
How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
“I set up a Discord server to facilitate communication with the players, join us there!
Apart from that, we'll mostly use the Steam community hub - although you can also contact me / follow the progress of the game on Twitter or on my website.”
