Yes we can. The first step of accurate prosthodontics is to make accurate stone models. Basically, the fitting accuracy of dental prostheses depends on the precision of the model. There is natural expansion of stone which may cause large error. The effects of stone expansion are evident in the patient's mouth in problems with the fit of prosthetic work, such as tension areas.
