First Look Inside the New Coronavirus Hospital in Wuhan

A new emergency hospital for the treatment of coronavirus has been completed in just eight days in Wuhan, China.

Here’s a first look inside Huoshenshan Hospital, which is now open and ready to receive patients infected with the deadly pneumonia virus.

The new 1,000-bed structure is modelled on an emergency hospital built during the height of the SARS outbreak in Beijing. It will be staffed with 1,400 military medics.

A second emergency hospital with 1,600 beds is due to open in Wuhan in a matter of days.
