OPSIS video presents the versatile System 400 for CEM applications. One System 400 offers three possible monitoring solutions depending on the conditions of the monitoring site

Excerpt from video:
There are many beautiful places on earth. And clean air is important to everyone. Therefore it is crucial to ensure that a facility like this doesn’t cause excessive air pollution.
OPSIS plays an important role in this environmental work. OPSIS develops and manufactures high-technology systems for monitoring ambient air quality and for gas analysis within industrial processes.
OPSIS has developed the System 400 for monitoring gaseous compounds with superior performance and high reliability.
With OPSIS System 400, you acquire a monitoring system of exceptionally good quality and accuracy. OPSIS System 400 is installed worldwide, and there are three different models adapted to suit all types of measurements and installations.
What type of OPSIS System 400 should you choose? This is the question we will attempt to answer in a few minutes.
OPSIS system 400 is based on OPSIS DOAS technology.
There are three types of OPSIS system 400: the Cross-Stack, the Fast-Loop and the Hot Wet Extractive.
The cross-stack method measures the flue gas components across the duct with a beam of light. Using the OPSIS DOAS technique, the system is a non-contact method, with fast response and low maintenance. The light is led from the receiver to the analyser via a fibre optic cable. The analyser can be placed in a separate room. If it is possible to do the installation in this way, then the cross-stack method is the best solution and the one to choose.
OPSIS system 400 Cross-Stack has been selected by companies all over the world. OPSIS System 400 Cross-stack is a cost-effective, high-performance monitoring system.
The Cross-stack solution requires low maintenance interval and has the lowest operating costs.
OPSIS System 400 Cross-stack has been installed in thousands of plants around the world. Many operators have been using the system for decades, and appreciate the high up-time, the superior accuracy, and the low maintenance costs. When it comes to calibration, the system is certified for calibration once a year. However, there are some plants where the measurement point can be difficult to access. For example, it could be located high above floor level, or there might be a long distance between the measurement point and the analyser, making it difficult to find somewhere suitable to position the transmitter and receiver. But there is a solution for this - the OPSIS System 400 Fast Loop.
Here at this power plant the measurement point is difficult to access. With OPSIS System 400 Fast-Loop, the flue gas is moved at high speed by a heated bypass line to the measurement cell with the aid of a fan.
In the measurement cell the gas is measured using the OPSIS DOAS technique.
The receiver is connected to the analyser using fibre optic cable.
A single OPSIS System 400 Fast-Loop measures all relevant gas emissions in the same way as the Cross-Stack.
When you install an OPSIS System 400 Fast Loop in a separate room, you will get a very stable installation. The monitoring equipment is secured on solid ground.
Choose OPSIS System 400 Fast Loop if you have a large plant where the measurement points are difficult to access. In many plants it is necessary to measure total mercury. If that is the case then OPSIS system 400 Hot Wet Extractive is the best solution. The advantage of using (the OPSIS) Hot Wet Extractive (system) is that, in addition to total mercury, all other relevant gases can be measured at the same time.
The flow rate is low, only a few litres per minute. The gas is further led via a heated sample line to the measuring cell, which here is positioned next to the analyser cabinet.
The benefit of this solution is that the complete monitoring system is housed within a stable and clean work environment. OPSIS System 400 Hot Wet Extractive measures the total mercury together with all other relevant gases. As you have seen, there is an OPSIS system 400 designed to fit your specific requirements.
All three types shown have been certified by the relevant authorities and can be used all over the world.
They are flexible, easy to install and can be used to measure all relevant flue gases. High quality, low maintenance and only one annual calibration render them very cost effective.
By using the OPSIS DOAS- technique, you will have a measurement system of outstanding performance no matter which type you choose.
