In the last video, we looked at this sentence with a structural error: "**Journalists investigated into this matter"). With this wrong example as a jumping-off point, we started looking at "transitivity", a structural characteristic of verbs (in English and also every other language in the world).

Now, in part two, we will take a closer look at the structural property of "transitivity" in English verbs and, in particular, what can be confusing for you as you try to learn whether a new verb is transitive or intransitive. I will explain one major point of confusion in this video and another one in the next.
