In this video I give tips and tricks for managing blind corners and unfamiliar roads. First, slow down a bit. You’ll have more time to respond, less stopping distance if that’s your best option, more time to think about what to do, and will be more confident. I also recommend covering your controls, specifically your front brake. The front brake provides most of the bike’s stopping power and learning to master it is crucial. Next, I recommend using a more conservative line through the turn. Staying near the middle of the lane to provide the most options mid-turn. Last, I recommend keeping the brake light on until you can see the exit of blind turns, especially on unfamiliar roads.
