The Holy Spirit Comes When You Pray [Acts 2:1-4]
The Holy Spirit
is a person.
So if you do not treat the Holy Spirit as a Person,
you cannot receive Him (Mt 12:31-32).
Jesus Christ
came to suffer (Mt 20:28).
The Holy Spirit came to help the saints (Rom 8:26).
Therefore,
if you truthfully seek to receive the Holy Spirit,
He will come upon you (Lk 11:13).
This is done by faith, repentance, and prayer.
The Lord dwells where people gather to pray (Mt 18:20).
The Holy Spirit comes upon those who ask for Him (Acts 4:31).
When you believe and ask for the Lord’s promise, He will come (Acts 1:4).
He comes when you ask to be full of the Holy Spirit (Eph 5:18).
He comes when you pray to receive His assistance (Jude 1:2).
Prayer is a personal act.
If you do not pray, it means you do not want it.
But praying and asking shows you want it (Acts 1:14).
The Holy Spirit
comes upon those who want to receive Him (Acts 2:39).
The Holy Spirit’s coming is the same yesterday and today (Heb 13:8).
○ Believers have the duty to receive the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit comes upon those who pray earnestly.
○ The Holy Spirit comes when you welcome Him in Person.
The Holy Spirit reveals Himself
to those who acknowledge Him.
○ Let us receive the Holy Spirit with holy hearts.
Let us ask sincerely and lovingly accept Him.
The Holy Spirit comes upon those who pray like this.
⁕ Prayer is faith possessing power.
The Holy Spirit has fellowship with those who pray.
The Holy Spirit works with those who pray.
