EEE survivor is 'a phenomenal miracle'

Richard Pawulski of Colchester was one of four people from Connecticut who contracted eastern equine encephalitis, or EEE, from a mosquito bite last year, and is the only one who survived. He is now rehabilitating at Gaylord Specialty Healthcare in Wallingford.



The Day Publishing Company, established in 1881 by John A. Tibbits, publishes The Day, a daily newspaper covering a 20-town region in eastern Connecticut with a daily and Sunday readership of nearly 100,000, and a website generating more than 4 million page views a month.
