We explore the companies with the longest stay in the Dow Jones Industrial Average from 1928 to 2019. We hope to post videos twice per week on interesting data sets related to Finance, Investing, Sports and Entertainment. Stay tuned! Interesting takeaways from this video:
(1) There are four companies that were on the top of the list the longest: Exxon Mobil, GE, Procter and Gamble, and Dow Dupont,
(2) There was very little change to the index from 1940-1959 and lots of changes made from 1976-2013,
(3) After being included for 80 years, GE was dropped from the average in 2018.
