For those taking CDL training, this is an absolute skill for working in remote areas where they get extreme weather.
Dress in layers in fundamental to staying warm while working outside as a truck or bus driver.
First, if you have lots of layers you can take clothes off if you get too hot, but if you don't have clothes, you can't put them on!
Second, you have to dress to stay warm because if you get cold, it's unlikely that you'll get warm if you remain outside.
Some of this clothing can be expensive, especially considering the many other costs associated with CDL training.
If nothing else invest in good thermal underwear.
Thermal long johns and undershirt will get the moisture away from your body.
If the sweat stays in your clothes next to your skin, that is what makes you cold.
If you can get yourself inside to warmth is probably the only way you're going to warm up.
And if you're cold it's hard to focus on your defensive driving.
