Baxter the Warrior- tube feeding

Baxter the Warrior- tube feeding Baxter is a puppy that was born on January 8th 2020 with a cleft palate and a cleft lip. When I got him from my sisters litter, he weighed 8.1 ounces. He got his first vet visit on January 9th with a grim prognosis. My vet said he had the largest hard and soft palate (roof of the mouth) opening in the roof of his mouth. That he only had about a 10% chance of living and if he dies.. it will be from aspiration pneumonia. I’ve taken this puppy on and it’s been a hard but a whole heart journey. He has had pneumonia once already which he got over with antibiotics. He needed to go to the emergency vet to help with breathing and learning how to tube feed... also is now on a heavier antibiotic to keep him from getting pneumonia. He is 2weeks old today and I wanted to share his journey as he has a huge uphill battle. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers ❤️
