The Battle for Middle-Earth: Online Project

The Battle for Middle-Earth: Online Project As a long time fan myself, I've been involved in many activities in the community, from hosting tournaments to Twitch streams and now making patch 1.09, but nothing could ever live up to authentic feeling and the hype of the original online experience. There were few projects such as Forshire's and T3A's project that inspired me to start my own. I would like to give them a huge shoutout and thank them for their hard work and commitment.

I reached out to some people in the community asking about information on the possibility of making something that would substitute the old online server. Then I met Rastko, a massive LOTR fan, who was willing to try and, this time, make it possible to bring back the game to life. He joined forces with his friend Nikola and that's when The Battle for Middle-Earth: Online project began to take form.

What do we have to offer?

The new BFME website and Online Launcher where players will be able to create, join and view custom games, as well as queue up for a quick match, check out the leaderboard, add friends and more. Players will be able to enter 1v1 / 2v2 matches and once the match is over they will be automatically ranked on the websites leaderboard. To get rid of the off-host lag we plan to host games on a neutral bot server (this is still experimental feature).

The project will be released later in 2020 but we will be opening the beta test session prior to the launch.

You can find few pictures of the Online Launcher in our social medias and can ask us questions in any of them. (

Keep up with the latest updates on the project progress on our website www.thebfmeonline.com

Stay tuned and see you soon!
