What ever you are promoting, a service, digital product, brick and mortar store, and so on, your sales funnel, the way you promote your offer, is critical that it is congruent throughout. What do I mean by that?
In promoting your sales funnel, when you post a video, social media post, send an email, etc. that’s the first step of your sales funnel. Your next step, which is usually a capture page, bridge page, squeeze page, or some variation therein, has to be congruent, it has to follow the same information or offer that was found in your original communication.
For instance, if you were promoting golf balls, and your post or email talks about the greatest gold balls in the world, when your prospect clicks on your link to your capture page, then they may see different kinds of golf balls you offer. So now you have their interest. Then they click on the link to the sales page and are taken to a sales page that is promoting how to earn an income at home! Whoa! You just lost your prospect.
Why? Because they thought that the sales page would be talking about how to get these great gold balls. That’s what they were expecting! Your message to market (your sales page) wasn’t congruent. It didn’t match what you were promoting.
It’s a good idea to walk through every step of your sales funnel to make sure there is an ebb and flow, a consistent message at each stage. That’s how you keep your prospect’s attention and that’s how you generate interest and then subsequently, that’s how to make a sale.
So make sure your initial communication (message) and your sales page (market) are coordinated, are congruent, and every step in between in your sales funnel!
