Basco, 'King of the Stock Dogs', is Waiting for his BFF 🐾

Basco, 'King of the Stock Dogs', is Waiting for his BFF 🐾 Meet Tabasco! He’s hot stuff!

This stunning 2 year, 70-pound Catahoula male also answers to his nickname Basco. He is located in the southern NH and North Shore, MA areas, and is neutered, up-to-date on shots, and housebroken. Though he comes from a good family, we are helping the family re-home him to a person with more experience. He’s truly a wonderful and beautiful dog so only the best home will do!

Basco has received extensive training with Domestic Dog Training. His adopters as new handlers will have free lessons to continue all the skills he’s learned. Obedience training is one of the best ways to bond with a newly adopted rescue dog like Basco! It’s fun and Basco enjoys the treats and ‘atta’ boys.

Basco will be a great companion for an active, outgoing, outdoorsy person who enjoys a working breed and doesn’t mind the extra attention and work involved. We are confident Basco will thrive with a person who can provide him with structure and engage him in physical and mental challenges on a regular basis.

Because he grew up without training, Basco did not have the proper outlets to expend his energy in a productive way. As a result his behavior escalated into biting, which is a common outcome for working type dogs that are untrained. However, Basco’s trainer and ARK’s point of contact will explain how well Basco has responded to training.

Best of all, Basco is very sweet and loving. At night he likes to cuddle up on the couch and watch tv. Because of his history, Basco will not be placed with children and needs to be the only fur-kid in the home. Please email Mary Lou for more information and an application at maryloumaria@yahoo.com. Thank you!
