Daily routine of cold resistance and breathing for the 2 directors & instructors of Chrysalis Camps. Aiming to reach 10mn daily in the next few weeks. The breathing is mostly done through the Wim Hof Method (WHM) and box breathing.
The bare feet walks (15-20mn) also works good cold training and helps to forge stronger mental toughness. In most part of the world, humans almost never walk barefooted anymore and, whilst we do understand the reasons why, we do lose some of our abilities to connect with our environment as well as reinforcing balance and strength in the feet and ankle by mobilizing a bunch of small muscles we usually dont use wearing shoes.
The hormone boost you get during/after the walk leaves you in a great state. Add to that 5 cycles of the WHM - 30-40 deep breaths with long retentions after last exhales (2 - 3 mn). On top of that, add a 2 to 10 min dip in the icy water outside and complete it by standing Qi Gong and bahm! You're ready to start a productive day, full of energy, peace of mind, creativity and clarity 👣👃❄🙏🥰
