'Khalistani Separatists Are Damaging Legacy Of Sikh Gurus, Insulting Them'

'Khalistani Separatists Are Damaging Legacy Of Sikh Gurus, Insulting Them' For the first time since Partition, pilgrims can travel the 4.5-kilometre stretch between Dera Baba Nanak shrine in Gurdaspur district and Darbar Sahib in Pakistan directly. Despite differences and India's stance of no talks till terror from Pakistan ends, both governments agreed to let pilgrims make the short one-day journey without visas to mark the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak. Sikhs from across the globe are celebrating a decades-long wish coming true. In Amritsar, SNI Associate Editor Amitabh P Revi spoke to nominated member of the UK House of Lords Rami Ranger, Conservative Party MP from Canada Bob Saroya, Inderjit Singh Bal, a former World Sikh Organisation Canada President and India America Today Editor Tejinder Singh on the momentous occasion.

Bob Soraya was first elected MP from the Conservative Party in Canada in 2015 and was the only candidate from his party to win a seat held by Justin Trudeau's Liberals in that poll. He has been re-elected this year. He is also a well-known hotelier.
Raminder Singh Ranger's companies have received numerous Queen's Awards in the UK. He was anointed Baron Ranger of Mayfair in October 2019 and is a nominated life peer in the House of Lords. He is joint chairman of a Conservative Party group building stronger links between the British Indian community, the party and India.
Inderjit Singh Bal is a businessman and community leader, founder and former President of Ottawa-based World Sikh Organisation.
Tejinder Singh is the Founder Editor of IndiaAmericaToday in Washington DC.
