Indie Game Devlog #4: Doubts, insecurities, and some progress nonetheless

Indie Game Devlog #4: Doubts, insecurities, and some progress nonetheless In this devblog I talk about my insecurities making my first video game as a solo indie developer, and I show you my progress since my last devlog.

All my other devlogs are in this playlist:
You can follow me on Twitter for more gamedev content:

I'm using the Unity engine to make a narrative resource management game in which you micromanage a handful of aliens into a populous, technologically advanced civilization.

A few days ago I discovered 2 games that are very very similar to mine, and that made me feel insecure, made me question myself, and aggravated my impostor syndrome.

I hope to get some feedback, not only on my video game, but also on how to deal with the personal aspect of game development.

I'm also doing the #RetoDevLog, which is a challenge that a group of small indie developers are doing that consists of uploading a devlog to youtube every single week until the end of the year (I'm doing one every other week though :P). Check out other creators using this hashtag, they're doing some cool stuff!
