Public Declares That this Sand Crisis Is an Artificial Scarcity By Jagan Govt | Public Talk on Jagan

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Protests Against Sand Mafia In Jagan Govt And demand that the state government should pay a compensation of Rs 10,000 to all the construction workers protesting the shortage of sand in the state. TDP party's state president Sri Nara Lokesh has alleged that the state government of canceling free sand policy in the state. The statement also alleged that the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led government's move has encouraged sand mafia which has left around 30 lakh workers with no work. This is a clear cut example of troubles the labourers are facing due to sand shortage in the state. The chief minister is not even concerned about the lakhs of families left with no food to eat.

New Sand Policy in AP : Andhra Pradesh government on September 4, 2019, announced a new sand mining policy scrapping the free sand policy, implemented by the previous government in the state. According to the new policy, in action from September 5, a tonne of sand will be available for Rs 370 only at government-owned stockyards operated by Andhra Pradesh Mineral Development Corp (APMDC).
