Feni's Madrasah student Nusrat killed: 16 accused to death:
All the eight accused have been sentenced to death in the Nusrat murder case in Sonagazi in Feni district of Bangladesh.
Feni's Women and Child Abuse Tribunal Tribunal announced the verdict at around 4:30 pm today.
Less than seven months after the case, the verdict was announced following a five-day hearing.
Judicial proceedings began at around 4pm after the accused was taken to Kathgari.
Judge Mamunur Rashid said the accused had behaved rudely before the verdict.
Strict security was strengthened in Sonagazi and Feni Sadar upazilas around the announcement of the murder verdict discussed.

Feni District Judge Court.
Siraj-ud-Daula, the principal of Sonagazi Islamia Fazil Madrasa, filed a case of sexual harassment against his mother Shirina Akhter on March 25 when Nusrat Silas was accused.
Police arrested the principal in that case. Since then, Nusrat and his family have been under various pressure to raise the case.
On April 5, when he was going to appear in the Nusrat Madrasah center, he was summoned to the roof of the administrative building of the madrasa and tied his hands and feet and put the kerosene on fire.
The next day, Nusrat complained against the principal, Siraj, in a statement given to doctors at the burn unit of Dhaka Medical.
Nusrat died on April 7 while undergoing treatment at the burn and plastic surgery unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Nusrat's elder brother Mahmudul Hasan Noman filed a case at Sonagazi police station on April 4, but was later converted into a murder case.
Inspector Kamal Hossain of Sonagazi police station first investigated the murder case of Nusrat; Police Bureau of Investigation took charge of the investigation against allegations of negligence during the Nusrat killing.
On May 25, the PBI filed a five-page charge sheet in the Feni Senior Judicial Magistrate Court, prosecuting three people, including the Madrasa principal, after investigating within three working days.
Of the 20 accused arrested, seven were acquitted.
The next month, the trial began on June 23, with the charges being framed.
Of the defendants, 12 made statements under section 6. Of the 12 witnesses, the court fixed the verdict on September 5 after taking testimony of six of them.
There was a security cordon in the court premises surrounding the murder case discussed.
