North Star Elementary School celebrates State distinctions

North Star Elementary School hosted a rally and unveiled a special banner to celebrate the six Distinction Designations it was awarded by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) for outstanding achievement in its 2018-19 state test results.
Overall, seven YISD campuses won every Distinction Designation available for their school type. Earning the maximum six distinctions for primary grades are North Star, Ramona, REL Washington, and Tierra Del Sol elementary schools. Del Valle and Ysleta high schools – as well as the Young Women’s Leadership Academy – won the maximum seven distinctions available for secondary grades.
