© Tonal Productions 2019 It must have been at least a couple of hours past midnight as i made my way back to my table for the second time. The air was thin and damp as the waves of cigarette smoke kept rising and moving through the ceiling. I can't say that i didn't have it in me to stay till dawn and see what would happen when the lights would finally go off and everyone would go back to where they came from but there was something inside of me longing for a way out. I wanted to steer my own ship even if that meant that i'd drown in the end.
I've been told time and time again that it's virtually impossible to make a living as an artist; The odds stacked up against me, the shoes heavy as concrete, the night; dark, motionless and empty... It's too late now though; i'm in knee deep. I'm either going to make this work or fall apart trying. I'm fine with both to be honest; Can't rise above the forces that be. If my work could reach a hundred people that are willing to support it i'd consider the die cast.
