To read my blog post on food vs toy rewards:

Today's video is a training vlog of Misia the Monster and I utilising some tips and tricks I have picked up from watching Michael Ellis' videos on tug training 🐶.

For those that want to know more about whether they should use toy rewards 🎾, a comprehensive blog post about the pro's and cons of tug toy play vs food rewards will be live tomorrow (Monday 5th of August.)🗓

Tug play is a vital part of our Search and Rescue training, but whilst Misia is usually super enthusiastic about a game of tug with her toy - she isn't always gentle about it, and once she gets it she doesn't want to come back 😒.
We want to keep the drive to tug up, but want to set the criteria a little higher and change up the rules of play on her so to speak.
To do this, I was recommended Michael Ellis' Tug Toy videos and have spent a few minutes implementing them in a short training session.
So far, so good!
