On the sidelines of Mint Mutual Fund Conclave, Hindustan Times’ Senior Editor Aditi Prasad caught up with the President of DSP Investment Managers, Kalpen Parekh to discuss the long lasting principle of good investing. Parekh defines an investor as one ‘who invests for decades’ and points out the importance of ‘dimension of time’ in investing. “Not expecting risk is a wrong expectation,” says Parekh explaining how crucial it is for nascent investors to learn to acknowledge and embrace risk. "A long lasting principle of good investing is to invest when there is mistrust. When you invest, lower prices mean more units. We all like discounts and value adding," he adds.
