Carnival Dream Having Engine Problems Cancels Progresso Sailing To Galveston At Reduced Power The Carnival Dream had to cut short it's 5 day cruise today and drop it's last port of call to return to Galveston. The ship is operating at only 15 knots and will need all day today and tomorrow to return on time. The reason for the power loss is unknown but a number of cruise ships have had Azipod problems lately resulting in ships operating at reduced speeds until they can enter a drydock facility to get necessary repairs. The Carnival Dream is scheduled to sail on a 4 day cruise to Cozumel starting August 29th/19 but at 15 knots she will not make it on time time.
